<< there is no evidence that shows superior investment research is a proven method for attaining superior and sustainable investment results.>>
i believe there is so much evidence that it would be impossible to list the names of those who use/used superior investment research to attain superior results. i guess the difficult part of the equation is quantifying "superior". i mean would "superior" be fundamental or technical analysis? would it include those who actually kick the tires and speak to management or a TA who looks at nothing but his screen? i can tell you Fidelity, Janus, etc. have a wealth of research knowledge, but some of their funds outperform and other underperform (removing sector funds, for obvious reasons). sometimes one form of research is in vogue and sometimes it's considered passe.

but, bottom line is, you can have all of the research in the world at your fingertips, but if you can't digest it, you won't outperform.
SUMMARY: INFORMATION IS NOT KNOWLEDGE.
