au contraire....that's for each hand, not for BOTH hands...there's actually an 8/13 chance one of the 2 hands gets a face.... then, throw in the 9's that would give a push against a 20, and the odds aren't so bad.
again, in this scenario (against a face showing), what you're doing is reducing your chances of losing.

it's kinda like flipping a coin... your odds are 50/50 for each flip that you'll come up heads... however, if given 2 flips, your odds increase dramatically for the combined venture.
