Remember just a few short months ago the clowns on bubblevision blabbering about how "profitability does not matter", its all about "market share" and "being the first to occupy the space". NOW, they start talking about profitability?

<<NEW YORK, Aug 18 (Reuters) - Online financial news provider TheStreet.com Inc. (NasdaqNM:TSCM - news) confirmed
Friday it decided to dissolve its analysts' ranking unit as part of its emphasis on reaching profitability.

The company cut five positions as a result of the decision, said a source close to the New York-based firm which started the analysts' ranking feature a year-ago.

``After reviewing the business upside of the project, the amount of resources required to succeed does not justify the continuance of this effort,'' Chief Executive Tom Clarke said in a statement. ``The Street.com is focused more than ever on profitability. This is the single mission for this firm as we battle to win our space and defy those who think we will not make it.''>>

And you are correct. Even as large as the amount of stranded VC money will be, it will pale in comparison to the haircuts that the telco debt-holders will get.
