Mark,
Speaking for myself, my intent was none of those things that you listed. We were screwing around, this is true. But my intent was really to demonstrate the absurdity of the latest rash of spats on SI. You will notice that this was done on SI Bob's thread, it may have been an error in judgement, but it was done intentionally to further the point.

In my 4 years on SI, I have continually fought for the idea of treating others on SI with respect, even when disagreeing with them. Even when I have been in heated interactions with people, I have tried to practice what I preach.

I apologized to the thread, to SI Bob personally and I will to you personally. It was not my intent to make anyone look like a fool, but to use an example of myself behaving in a manner that I see more and more on SI to show my disgust for it.
