FORT WORTH, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 18, 2000--21st Century Technologies Inc. (Pink Sheets:TEXN) today announced that Doug Spring (president), Buren Palmer (chief technology officer) and Don Alford (sales consultant) will depart Saturday, Aug. 19, 2000, for the International Offshore Northern Seas 2000 (ONS) trade and exhibition show in Stavanger, Norway (www.ons.no).

The ONS runs Aug. 22-25, with opening ceremonies hosted by King Harald of Norway and other diplomats. Keynote speakers will include Halliburton's Dick Cheney and Shell's Mark Moody Stuart. At the ONS, 21st Century Technologies' wholly owned subsidiary Trident Technologies Inc. will debut its newly configured Sea Patch and Pro Mag to an international audience.

The ONS trade show is the third-largest in the world for the maritime industry, with 1,200 exhibitors from 29 countries. All of the North Sea oil companies will be attending the ONS, which features the latest in offshore technology and trends. The offshore oil industry is an estimated $10 billion market. Three hundred leading oil journalists from around the world will cover the ONS. The Sea Patch and Pro Mag feature patented cam-on/cam-off magnetic technology used to seal punctures in ship's hulls, barges, railcars and storage containers. The core technology was patented at the Los Alamos National Laboratory, and in August 2000 a new patent application was filed with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office covering the Pro Mag configurations.

The Sea Patch and Pro Mag are the first proactive devices that stop spills in the maritime and hazardous-materials, or HAZMAT, industries.

"We have been working with our sales team all summer getting ready for the Norway show," stated Spring. "We will be taking Sea Patch and Pro Mag kits with us for hands-on demonstration plus a multimedia presentation that shows actual field applications."

Chairman Kenneth E. Wilson stated: "We are going to be at the right place at the right time at the ONS 2000. We are no longer in the concept stage. We have taken delivery of high-capacity magnets giving us the ability to immediately deliver Pro Mag kits to ONS 2000 attendees.

"We all wish Doug, Buren and Don a safe trip and know that they will be great representatives of Trident. Our shareholders will be proud of the job they perform for us at the ONS 2000. Guys, go show the world what we got!"
