Ian,

I would much rather be wrong and my 30% soar, than be right and my 30% crash. I firmly believe that the up cycle will last to 2002, and I understand the disappointment with the thrashing these stocks have received. I also know that disbelief in the cycle is what gets healthy multiples for these stocks. I don't want to address the economic indicators you listed individually, but I have a general feeling that they don't, necessarily, have a causal relationship with cycles, and that their recent trends may change.
