May I ask this, please?

In reading the latest post much of the discussion assumes man as the most successful creature. Seems to be based on being the most complex and having the most control over our environment.

I am not sure I disagree but is this really the true measure of success. If it is not and therefore we are not, then many of the assumptions we have made are turned upside down.

Along with these discussions is a common thread of, I will call it, harmony with nature. Successfully adapting to our surroundings lets say. This also seems to be a measure of success that is used to determine the pecking order.

This harmony with nature (well suited to ones environment)seems to me an even more basic measurement than the other criteria and could easily be argued as the most important. Especially if we remove our own bias.

So what is the true measurement of success when viewed upon by the creator. Many times I have set out to create something and soon found I've created an overly complex mess that turns out unsuitable. Then it's back to the drawing board in search of a simpler solution.
