Or maybe it happened 27 times 25 years ago. Or 1,000 times, and not once. I don't know and neither do you. That's why it's important for GWB to be candid about his past.

Lest we forget, the Republicans crucified VP candidate Tom Eagleton in '72 because someone spilled the beans that he had undergone electric shock therapy earlier in his life.

That revelation effectively disqualified a very good man from the ticket, and Arnold Schwarzenegger's father-in-law got the nod instead.

No, the real reason that GWB supporters don't want GWB to reveal details of his "wild 20s" is that they're afraid. They're afraid of what happened in '72 to Tom Eagleton.

That and the fact that there are people locked up in the Texas penitentiary for cocaine-related offenses.
