Hi Chris: I live in San Diego, where Equidyne is located, but discovered them through a friend in Palm Desert who works at the Eisenhower Medical Center. My friend saw a flier about the injector in early '99. She knew that I had to start shooting soon, because I had lost 30 lbs. and my sugars were way too high. This is all a result of a blunt trauma I received in a motorcycle accident where most of my pancreas was removed. When she told me about Equidyne, I called and found that they had passed the FDA, but couldn't release the injector yet. After about 6 weeks I was close to the point of no return. They found a way to provide me with an injector as a voluntary research subject. It may sound sappy but these people saved my life! I believe I have more injections with Injex than any other person on the planet, close to 2000. Beyond the fact that it is painless, think about no more needle-sticks, and no more problems with sharps disposal. I can't say enough about the device, or the people working at Equidyne.
