agreed, BMCS may not want to sell itself at this point, but that will not prevent IBM/CA salivating at BMCS at these rock-bottom prices, isn't it? Considering just their techno-human plus intellectual capital, a 6-10B cap'n buyout seems like a real possibility at this point. (All IMHO only and a pure speculation on my part).
The opportunity that a suitor might be eyeing at this point is the fact that, at these price levels for BMCS, in a very long time, a buyer has a real chance to get BMCS around 60, and simultaneously be confident that shareholders will happily approve the bid. OTOH - this same opportunity of the suitor might be Max's agony - for one thing, he knows that this is selling out like a dime for a dollar at these levels; the independent future potential could be much higher. But alas ... being a public company, the paper is valued at the merci of the public, and the market gave/giving a hell of an opportunity to such a suitor. Any enterprise with richly valued paper of their own in this market- and it feels even cheaper! A free shower of gold from the heavens! :-)
