Oramges? Grapefruit? The coldest I have seen it here is 3 degrees, although it might have been colder in the orchard. Unpredictable freezes make even the deciduous trees vulnerable...last April, end of the month, it got down to 18 degrees, and I thought my two best plums weren't going to make it. I have about an acre, 60 apples, 40 pears, 10 +/- peaches and plums, a few Asian pears, a few walnuts and almonds. Gave up on cherries, too much clay and rain. Have about 10 grapes, lots of raspberries and blackberries, although most of the latter grow wild around here.
