Uncle: This is where I first saw the rumor: messages.yahoo.com and: messages.yahoo.com I do not understand where Emcore and Gelcore fit in to this picture. GE and Emcore are partners in Gelcore, and the agreement is that all of GE's solid state lights will be built by Gelcore. Apparently they are about to commercialize their white light product (via Walmart). Would Gelcore buy the diodes from Cree? wj
