Savants Do they draw on a power present in all brains of homo sapiens?

I believe that most savants are actually missing an arrangement in the brain for a complex operation. Not all savants are missing the same component, but whatever part they are missing leaves an area of the brain that would have been used, open to be used by another component. So you get autistics who are missing the thought-to-voice translation and that area may have been taken over by symbol processing or mathematics. In another a missing component could have been taken over by art and image processing. There is a reason why genious are often eccentric. For the most part I think these are the extremes of normal personality variation. (Which also includes some who seem to have it all in balance)
