ted is right and wrong both,imo.i agree that the exchange bails out its memeber ,like inthe case of palladium,or silvers 20 years ago etc.this is should not be allowed.regarding silver while teds stats are true vis a vis comex supplies it doesnt take into account london wharehouse stocks or other above ground silver.i think that this at some point will cause a major move to the upside but dont know when.the problem with silver and other metals,imo is NOT the shorts but lack of interest on the part of investors,evryone only wants stocks and bonds.when that changes metals prices will go wild.having said that iy is possible that with less producer forward selling-"the shorts" the prices would be somewhat higher but not enough to really change things dramtically,as they would just sell at a higher price.im sure those ideas will upset some metal bulls with a conspiratorial bent but that is how i see it.
