It also strongly suggests that the current quarter will be worse than the last, and the 4th isn't likely to be much better.
Fortunately, the market has already priced in much of the expected decrease in Windows based product sales.
I fully expect that they will be looking to price in future expectations for Linux sales. What the company really and truly needs is for an official relationship to develop with a major box manufacturer (Hewlett Packard?)
I still believe that CORL fulfills a role in making the transition from Windows to Linux feasible, and their distribution channels developed for their Windows products are still a valuable asset that may prove desirable for another company.
No one except CORL's management truly knows what going on here. But we can assume, to a certain extent, that since MC was putting the word out that he was resigning 3 months ago, that strategic planning has been ongoing to take advantage of that event.
Those companies who avoided CORL due to MC's problems, and the accompanying PR problems that would result, are now open to unlock the hidden values of working with CORL and vice-versa.
Btw, I don't believe the name will ever change without the company being completely taken over and absorbed into another company's product line. Corel is still a strong brand name with substantial product recognition for quality products (despite what a few naysayers may nitpick about, or falsely claim).
