I respectfully submit that those judicial punitive actions may seem harsh, but it certainly reduces the percentage of repeat criminal offenders...

Who gave that person the right to throw acid in anyone's face in the first place? I think he deserved precisely what he received as a punishment... here in the United States, crime has take over the streets because the criminal justice system (commonly referred to as the revolving door policy) has failed the public trust... you can't feel safe walking down the street on any given day... if rapists, burglars, and other feloneous criminals were dealt with more severely, I doubt we would have the criminal problem we have today... that's my two cents...<g>

Okay, I opened myself up for sharp criticism from posters, so go ahead and let me have it...<g>
