PartyTime, if you need to rationalize your actions to yourself like this, so be it:
"Jon, I sold in several incredments near the top and tried unsuccesffully daytrading the middle teens. While in a daytrading mode I stopped commenting on the threads, as I didn't want my actions misconstrued. "
The FACTS remain, however, and you don't dispute them:
1. You sold near the top.
2. You didn't admit to the thread that you had done so.
You can't blame this on your "daytrading mode", as that happend AFTER you sold near the top.
And just how did you think the thread might "misconstrue" your actions? They seemed pretty clear to me:
1. You sold. For whatever reason, you felt the stock was fully or nearly fully-valued. You were, in fact, right.
2. You started day-trading EDIG. You apparently felt that you could make more money doing so than by holding it. And you were right again.
Now, had you told the thread what you had done, in a more timely manner, how might they have "misconstrued" it?
I think maybe what you meant to say is NOT "I didn't want my actions misvconstrued", but, rather, "I didn't want to tell the truth".
Now, a question on the side. I don't expect you to answer it, but I'll ask anyway: Is your position re-acquired after you'd sold at the top profitable? I your OVER-ALL position (including that initial profit when you sold near the top) even profitable? |
