Tom's Hardware site mentions that all the newer Durons and Tbirds are locked - but they show how to get around it.

AMF had a respectable week. The price wasn't up as much as a few semis that the street loves more but AMD drew attention as the semi rally continued toward the end of the week. Confirmation that production and speed ramp is going well should continue to help. AMD should outperform INTC and some some other semis over the next few weeks.

Important for the sector is that the previous pattern, up one or two days and down three or four, has been broken. The length of the rally shows the shift in thinking by lemming institutional fund managers following analysts about face. I saw strong accumulation (block trades on the ask) in most of the semis. Any time the semis looked like they might pull back buyers quickly jumped in. We may see some profit taking by mid week.

Technical indicators for tech stocks and semis in particular have improved dramatically. While some stocks may stall at resistance levels, some have already broken through. Next level of resistance for the SOX are at 1150 and 1240.
