Jim: Jon is probably too exhausted from his recent demonstrating this week in LA at the DNC to appear so quickly in Chicago. I suspect he was marching up front ahead of the demonstrators. He's probably sought after by many groups because of his appearance and confusion that evokes a lot of sympathy. He could have auditioned for this spot with this paragraph: "I surely wouldn't want to base a commentary on something that Todd said that RP said, but then said that he didn't say. Had it turned out that Todd was now saying that RP didn't say what he said he said, then I would have revised or retracted my comments as appropriate." It's scripts like this that benchmark the standards for demonstrations to confuse the masses. That little march was probably his first and only gig of the year. Best to all.
