Hi SI Admin Bob,

How was your much needed vacation?

Posting late on Friday night.... it's almost like you couldn't wait to get back to us. -ggg-

While you were gone the other SI Admins took it upon themselves to ban MythMan for unjust reasons. I hope you plan to reverse this decision of your peers.

The posters on the Clown Free Zone are in a difficult position. If the market goes up, we are taunted by the clowns because the market went up. If the market goes down, we are taunted by the clowns because they think the short sellers make the market go down. If the market doesn't do anything, we are taunted by the clowns, I guess because they are just used to doing it.

The moderated thread is a help because Luc can ban people from the thread. But this doesn't stop them from taunting us from other threads and from PMing us (I take the other posters for their word that they receive PM's from the clowns).

I find the Clown Free Zone as the best source of information on SI. In my opinion, to invest in stocks short or long, you have to focus on; the world/US economy --> stock markets --> sectors --> individual stocks. Most of the other members of SI only focus on sectors and individual stocks without looking at the "big picture". The Clown Free Zone mostly focuses on the economy and general markets, with a little focus on particular sectors or stocks. I think most of the Clown Free Zone shares the opinion that most of the other SI members are unable to understand the complex economy and they just are caught up in the mania of believing that stocks only go up. I share this opinion and find this thread a valuable help to keeping up with the state of the economy. I would also agree that most members of SI don't put enough focus on the economy.

I'm not sure what a remedy to this situation could be. We are greatly outnumbered and receive much heat by the rest of the SI members. I think that this is very unfair that 10-20 taunts by the clowns, followed up by one or two responses by an anti-clown leads to one of us being banned. SI's decision in July to give each SI member a free membership to give away has only made the situation worse. It seems to me many of the clowns who are long time rivals to Luc, MythMan, etc, have created their free accounts for themselves and have then turned around and started taunting us (IE, "da cheif"). What do they care? They get their alias banned, so what, they can still post with their real identity. I suspect that if you take a close look at who the clowns gave their free accounts to you'll notice that these new posters immediately started to taunt the anti-clowns. A new member of SI doesn't accidently end up on this thread.

I hope the SI admins can come up with a better way to moderate the disputes that go on between the clowns and the anti-clowns. This seems very unfair the way the situation is currently handled.

regards,

chic
