sector and other long-time posters:

I used to be active on this thread but when I determined that I offerred little to the group except some "rah-rah" (like DeeJay) or discourse (like Dana Adams) I stopped posting.

I even gave up lurking several times over the years deeming it a waste of time. Normally, these were periods of dispair as I watched $300,000 plus positions in our "beloved" evaporate to low 5 digits.

Now my point: I've have been most successful selling MRVC when my position's value exceeds $250,000 to $300,000 and paring it back to under $200,000. What I do with the proceeds is buy strip treasuries with it. I take it completely out of the market.

I compare it to being at the crap table. I do best when I start taking chips off of the table and putting them in my pocket. At the end of a good session, I am pleasantly surprised at how much I've built up in that pocket. I love the look on the dealers' faces when the "horde" is dumped on their table for the changing of the color.

I recognized all along that MRVC has been a crapshoot. High risk-high reward. On the other hand, I always keep chips on the table, waiting for the table to get hot again.

Sector, Signest, Greg and others that I've failed to mention should all be complimented for their commitment of time to this thread.
