Hi Tom and everyone,

This is nothing having to do with CIC, but I thought it was a very interesting article.

A couple of years ago, this company called TriStrata was formed that claimed to have a breakthrough security/encryption technology. I remember all the fanfare well as there were articles all over the place. I talked to a cryptographer about their product, and he dismissed it immediately, so I didn't give it another thought. Other than Schneier blasting their tech on his website, I haven't heard a thing about them since then.

I just stumbled across this fascinating article about them and the big VC firm that invested in them. It's basically the anatomy of a bad investment, and how the VC firm came to make it. It's long, but I thought it might be an interesting read for a Sunday evening. : )
