Thanks for the Pirate news Joe

In his latter days Cippolina was doing the Fish and Chips thing with Melton (fish) - not to mention his earlier incarnations, but I wasn't aware of this one.

I got to see Amos Garrett (Muldaur's guitarist on the famous midnite at the oasis solo - the song gets ridiculed today, but the guitar lick is very tasty) some years back in a small place - he's sort of Clarence White-like in his talent and obscurity - maybe he plays NYC more often, cause I think he lives in Toronto mostly. He's got a very spare but gripping style.

My best Jorma story was seeing him at the Sweetwater bar in Mill Valley (max = about 100 people) with only Jack Cassady on backup bass, doing all acoustic blues. We were first row, right in front of them - no stage even putting them up at a higher level. Same place I've seen Dan Hicks. They're best in the small venues like it sounds you went to that time.
