You conveniently forget that if the Republicans had a President who wasn't hell bent on spending American's excess contributions, the SS funds would be locked away from the general budget. Although I still think SS and Medicare need to go only to the truly needy, and means tested, regardless of what was paid in. The old folks who paid in wouldn't be hurt any worse than you or I who have no choice but to pay in. Let them make their contributions. I for one am tired of the pandering to seniors. They made sacrifices, but so do all of us. I don't feel the need to pay for millionaire seniors health care or prescriptions. If politicians would stop prostituting themselves to seniors for their votes, we wouldn't be in the fix we're in.knc
