Cox Cable is rolling out in San Diego in my area during the second quarter. So far I'm still on a waiting list for installation. I'm aware of very few actual users but those that have it love it. I'll gladly pay $40 per month after a $175 installation particularly since it will free my only phone line. I want faster connect and cached pages as well for the 20-25 hours per week I spend on the internet. I'm not really happy with PacBell as an ISP with 28.8 access. Note, however, a surprising number of techno savy people at work are not willing to part with more than $20 per month for internet access! Maybe there is price resistance that will continue to make the service slow to catch on. People would perhaps prefer to purchase cellular phones first and are now finding monthly usage charges a strain?
