Per, I know all those currencies have been weak in the recent past. I think that's about to change:

1) The ECB appears to be ready for a 0.5% increase in the discount rate at the end of August, in response to increased inflationary #'s posted by several member nations in the last month. Intriguingly, with oil futures on a tear, it will be interesting to see if OPEC ever decides to go to a dual currency payment scheme (Euro and Dollar)...

2) The BOJ ended the "zero-interest" policy. We'll see if it's meant to be anything other than a symbolic change...

3) Gold appears to have put in a bottom on the charts (yeah, right<G>)...

Of course over the past year, the dollar has approached its deathbed only to rally back every time. We'll see...
