Barron's article: AA's friend Bernie may be right, i.e. more than the usual amount of oil may be floating toward us and our fellow oriental consumers. But this is only a tree. Perhaps a rather "barren" one. (g)

The forest is still, increasing worldwide demand and limited supply of crude and NG. IMHO, what to watch here is worldwide economic growth. If it persists, oil and NG related stocks will be $ makers. With OPEC members closer to their production limits, it is more difficult for them to screw up things ala 1997. I believe that growth will persist and, like many other posters, see this boom as lasting quite a while.

But let's not criticize Barron's. It is all the variable inputs from the media, OPEC (official and not so), the weather, general market conditions, etc. that make this sector so interesting and volatile - hence if one can be nimble and a little lucky - quite profitable.

FWIW: The tanker fleet may be the same one DLJ said was coming our way early this year. (VBG)

Good luck all. Winkman
