Potential Buyout?

When Infospace offers US$4 billion for Go2net, someone has
overlooked the very undervalued NBCi,capitalized at only
US$545 million with $285 million in cash. Would some
media moguls be interested in the potential acquisition of
NBCi?

The potential interested parties may be the News Corp which
has just made an offer to purchase Chris Craft Corporation
for its TV broadcasting properties, and the Viacom Corp
which has just purchased the rest of Infinity Broadcasting.
Another interested party may be the French Vivendi who has
recently bought Seagram's media properties.

None of the TV broadcasting stations, however, has the
worldwide reach of the internet like NBCi. The respected
Media-Metrix rated NBCi as the ninth most frequented site in
June --16.8 million unique visitors. Xoom.com alone has
about 15 million registered users. Furthermore, remember
that interactive TV with the Web will be the coming media
convergence.

I expect someone will soon discover the true value of NBCi.
