Vignette & NETP Comparisons

The attached is interesting because (a) it shows that the CRM sector is coming back into favour (b) because VIGN is a major re-seller of NETP (c) it reminds us that VIGN (and EPNY and others) have coverage from big houses such as Goldman Sachs (d) it shows NETP in good light. The DOS figures for VIGN at 123 days are cited as the reason it lost value recently. BUT NETP's DOS have been on an improving trend, and if my memory serves me correctly, are now between 85-95 days. This is especially important given all the talk of NETP being vulnerable to dot-com revenues. It's DOS is comparable with sound, software products companies and shows that it has high quality customers.

(Sorry about that - I lost my cut-and-paste now cannot find the article. Anyway it was a Goldman Sachs strong recommendation on Vignette pointing out that its recent weakness presented a buying opportunity. Weakness was caused by lengthening of DOS (the time it takes to collect payment from customers). The lengthening was due to a handful of big customers skewing the average.
