David--The article said that the users will reach 1.2 billion by 2002, not the revenues to $1.2 billion. PALM itself already had over $1.06 billion in revenues in the past year. What does the number 1.2 billion people mean? It's one out of five in the world! To me it's an over stated number. Even only one out of ten to become PDA users in the world, the world will be totally different if you consider those undeveloped areas in the world. I think the analyst from CS First Boston who said that number is for all handheld devices including cells. Anyway, 1.2 billion is a big number. Thanks for the URL you posted!
