RESEARCH ALERT-MSDW assumes Vodafone cover: LONDON, Aug 21 (Reuters) - Morgan Stanley Dean Witter said on Monday it had assumed coverage of Vodafone Group as ``strong buy'' with a price target of 335 pence. Vodafone shares were trading at 267-1/2 pence at 0839 GMT. No further details were immediately available. Investment houses use the term ``assume'' when a new analyst begins research cover of a stock, the subsequent conclusions superseding previous ratings and forecasts.
