elmatador- Thanks for the article on Pronto. Kind of a hard one to figure out. Sounds like they plan on overcoming their short term problems and do a full rollout to 1,000,000 subs as planned anyway. If accurate, it must mean that the problems they are having are not that severe. It would be nice to get a hold of the note they apparently sent analysts. Maybe it's what caused the recent weakness in Westell(sym:WSTL) and maybe even Virata(sym:VRTA). They have around a half-million DSL subs already. Not past the half-way goal for 2000, but a rampup could easily bring them within the goal. I'm guessing that it must not be that bad of information or SBC would have been crazy not to make that information public.
