pencil and graph paper with a slide rule. there were no pocket calulators. you depended on others for most indicators because there wasn't enough hours in the day. Of course, weekly charts were the thing. you bought chart books each week. And Dahl put out a newletter that gave the 10 wk ma for 200+ stocks. Coppock provided RS rankings. Some don't know what life was, no perspective.
