Signal Technology Corporation, (NASDAQ:STCO), a leading provider of state-of-the-art electronic components and subsystems for wireless communications, defense and space applications, today announced that their Systems Operation in Webster, Massachusetts has been awarded ISO 9001 registration. Accepted by 90 countries around the world, ISO 9001 is the most comprehensive of the five universal standards for quality assurance.

Signal Wireless Group's Millimeterwave Transceivers Used in High

Capacity Broadband Digital Radio Platforms for Broadband Back Haul

Signal Technology Corporation (NASDAQ: STCO) today announced that its Signal Wireless Group won a $2.6 million production follow-on order from a major provider of high capacity digital radios used to transport data between multiple, multipoint networks. The Signal Wireless Group transceiver deployed in this application is a state-of-the-art, high-performance, and highly integrated millimeterwave transceiver. This order is a follow-on order to an initial $3.8 million contract the Signal Wireless Group received from the same customer in the first quarter of 2000.

Signal Technology's millimeter wave transceivers are incorporated into its customers' fiber-like wireless networks which provide ultra high capacity systems delivering high speed integrated data, video and voice payloads from DS3 (45Mbps) to OC6 (311Mbps).

Dr. James DiLorenzo, president and chief operating officer of Signal Technology and the Signal Wireless Group stated, "This order further positions the Wireless Group in the broadband access segment of the market. These products provide transport of data between multiple, multipoint networks.
