HG,

Will be 4 for awhile. The reason I'm getting a new horse is that Dance With Tommy will be leaving soon. Unfortunately, this is a sad moment as well as a happy moment for me. He has a condition known as 'ringbone', incurable and progressive disease of the foot. His condition has been deteriorating for some time and now he is very, very lame. It breaks my heart- he is only 10. Big, beautiful thoroughbred- very loving horse. I'm having great difficulty dealing with the fact that I will have to make the decision when to end his life. I'm also facing the same decision with my big dog, Pupper. I think I posted we found a bone tumor on her leg a few months ago. She is worsening by the week, also. It's hard to tell whether they are in alot pain. How much pain is too much?
