Cirrus, >Anything else you like me to successfully refute? ;)

No but the AMD camp is like a bunch of gnats lately. Wherever you look, they are trying to find every piece of negativity about Intel and report it. Not that they haven't made their share of screwups, but show me a company that hasn't.

- I've read about cracking AMD chip packages, first Duron, then Athlon and Mustang.

- Duron came out with no infrastructure support; still no PCs using it on Compaq (still selling K6-2 instead, oh wow). IBM none. If you do a search on Duron on IBM's website, you get: >Case Study: Duron Paint & Wallcoverings, Inc. PAINT Gateway, 3/4ths of their desktop lines here :http://www.gateway.com/prod/hm_dtp_Category.shtml
are all Intel. What happened to "more AMD, at least 50%"????
HP: no Duron.

Maybe AMD cut prices so drastically because they're not moving product. The world still prefers Intel.
