Triton Network Systems Signs Sales and Marketing Agreement With Samsung Corporation

- Triton Network Systems' broadband radios to aid Samsung in meeting South Korea's Internet demand -

ORLANDO, Fla. - August 21, 2000 - Triton Network Systems™, Inc. (NASDAQ:TNSI), a leading provider of broadband fixed wireless network products, today announced a sales and marketing agreement with Samsung Corp. to market Triton Network Systems' Invisible Fiber® family of broadband wireless products in South Korea. This agreement marks a significant achievement in Triton Network Systems' goal to be the premier provider of broadband fixed wireless equipment in the Asian market.

Among Asian countries, South Korea has experienced the most explosive growth in Internet users. It is estimated that close to one-third of South Korea's population is online. Triton Network Systems' unique architecture allows Samsung to quickly and cost effectively deploy the fixed wireless 100 Mbps Invisible Fiber Internet products in consecutive point networks, therefore increasing Samsung's capability to meet increasing demands for broadband capacity.

"South Korea's history of early adoption of new technologies, coupled with dense metropolitan centers, makes it an ideal place for Triton Network Systems to do business," said Skip Speaks, president and chief executive officer of Triton Network Systems. "Having an opportunity to work with Samsung Corporation will continue to enhance our regional presence."

"We made a smart business decision when we decided to partner with Triton Network Systems because their level of technology makes the Internet faster and access more affordable," said Chung Kwang-Hun, director of Samsung Corporation's information and systems business division. "Wireless broadband access is important to South Korea's development, so we needed to partner with the provider of the most reliable, most economical technology available."
