i'm actually also not so sure about the tanker story...that sounds like something someone caught short in several 100 crude contracts would say. according to my info, there's actually a shortage of tankers developing, i.e. oil production capacity is now becoming irrelevant as the market is encountering an infrastructure limit in terms of transportation capacity. freight rates are going through the roof accordingly.
