Your assessment flies in the face of 1000s of objective economists who are neither leaning towards Republicans nor Democrats.

Plus, Reagan only increased the defense budget -- a Constitutional duty of the federal government -- while the Democratic Congress kept spending and spending. They spent (and borrowed) mostly for social programs which are NOT a duty of the federal government.
