E-MAIL LIST UPDATE
August 21, 2000

(Further update to E-mail List Update sent out August 17, 2000.)

Commonwealth received the latest update from our field engineer today. Key Energy Inc. (Service Rig Company) had to service one other well location before coming to service our Bedsole #1 well. Therefore, Key Energy have informed us that they should be at our location on Wednesday of this week. Our engineer has also lined up one other Service Rig Company to provide a rig for Wednesday as well. He told me this morning that he is quite sure that we will get one or the other and that he doesn't anticipate any further delays beyond Wednesday. Once the Service Rig is on location of the Bedsole #1 well, we will do a News Release.

As I mentioned in my last e-mail update, these delays are a fact of life down in Texas at the present. However, we feel that it is very important to keep our investors informed and that these e-mail updates are much better than failing to provide any information to you at all. Therefore, although at times we can not give concrete dates, we will continue to provide you with the updates that we receive from the field.
