All synthetic doesn't build up your layer of topsoil.

True, that's why the corn stalks and bean stubble are left in the field. The harvester chops the plant, shakes off the kernels (or beans), chops up the rest and discs it into the field in one pass. Every decade or so a portion of the field can be put into soil bank. There it is planted with grass, watch it a couple years, and then disc all the grass in the ground and start over. You can't run livestock on the soil bank ground. When that time comes the govt. will give us a stipend.
