Nebbish- a meek or timid person

Carter was a lion when it came to MORAL CONSCIENCE- he must be one of the most moral, most brave, most decent men I've ever seen. That is hardly a nebbish. His main problem was that he saw the duality of many situations and he sided with the side he perceived to have the superior moral position - EVEN if it was against our national interests (which are not always moral).

Look at what CARTER has done after leaving office. He has done more than any president has after leaving office. Lots of people talk the talk about religion but if more religious people were like Carter I might think there WAS something to religion. Unfortunately most people talk the talk, and talk and talk and talk, and don't bother to walk the walk at all.
