You are sitting in your cabin and you can smell something burning but you see no fire. There is a haze in the air but that can be attributed to a hot summer day...

By the top you determine that the smoke you smell and the haze you see is in fact a forest fire, you might not have a sufficient time to escape.


But would you call for a major international mobilization of forest fighting resources based only on the fact that you smell a little smoke and it seems a bit hazy? What if you are making the decision and you don't smell any smoke, but someone else tells you he does?
