I am looking at PG as a trading stock. It has decent intraday and intraweek price swings.

GE looks like it is ahead of itself since the split.

I have a theory on price splits. I think it's the brokerages that push the companies to split. What does the company care if more people will buy round lots , etc. However, if you have a company like Intel at $150/share with average volume of 12 million/day and you split the stock you now have average volume of 24 million/day. Overnight most of the brokers have doubled their fees.
