My first wife worked for an insurance company that did a lot if life insurance. Her job was to look for old policies that were written with great terms and had gotten better with time, and jerk them so no renewal was sent. Best to buy insurance from a mutual company, no stock holders to please. Mutual means the policy holders own the company.
