I don't think Sharkey knows what he is talking about, as evidenced by this statement from the article:


He may not, but he claims to be quoting intel. If true, isn't that number bad for intel? Wouldn't it put a 1.4GHz Willy on par with a 1GHz P3 in the best case scenerio (trace hit).

Intel says that they "have reduced the number of missed branches by approximately 30% from that of the P6."
