Why would analysts and the equity market have so much confidence in a hedge fund manage running a retail operation? Is it because he's shown them that he can use the cash to establish the far and a way leading diversified Internet retailer, with state of the art inventory management, top-notch customer service, and efficient fulfillment operations, establishing Amazon.com as the online company millions of shoppers think of first (and only, much of the time) when they want to buy something online which Amazon might sell?
