The ugly truth is that any disk drive for portable devices adds bulk, adds to the $$$ cost of the device because the high $$$ cost of the drive must be absorbed by the manufacturer and included in the retail price, pricing the device out of the price point where its competitors are. Just look to Iomega and their Clik disaster to see what I mean. They can't give those Clik drives away.
