Insider Trader is showing a worse picture for institutional ownership than a week ago. The number is down from 77 to 69. The number selling has risen, buying has fallen, but the net shares bought remains positive.

The total percentage is 37%.

However, these figures are horribly skewed by the statement that Norwest is the largest shareholder, when it does not own any shares. Without the Norwest statement, the situation is worse (unless Norwest is proxy for other institutions). There is net negative selling and I would guess the percentage owned is nearer the 32% mark.

I would caution that the figures are not reliable and are usually out of date (note the Norwest error) and the service on the web site gives much higher figures of institutions owning (124 as of 30th June 2000 at the time Insider Trader was showing 75).
