I missed this one today... August 21, 2000 Cobalt Group, GE Capital Plan Used Vehicle Exchange SEATTLE -- Cobalt Group Inc. (CBLT) and General Electric Co.'s (GE) GE Capital Auto Financial Services agreed to launch MotorPlace Auto Exchange, a wholesale used vehicle exchange. In a press release Monday, Cobalt Group said GE Capital Auto will license its GEAutoDirect.com wholesale vehicle distribution system to Cobalt, and list its off-lease vehicles on the exchange. Cobalt plans to enlist other lessors and make the system available to car dealers throughout the U.S. The exchange will be at Cobalt's MotorPlace.com Web site, which is scheduled to be operational by Sept. 30. Cobalt provides Internet-based products and services for the automotive industry. Company Web site: cobaltgroup.com
